About Me

My name is Haley Woodard. I grew up in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Six years ago, I moved to Tennessee with my wife, Jenae, and together we are proud dog moms to Blue (pitbull/hound mix) and Bear (chocolate lab).

I am a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant with ten years of experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients. For five years, I supported adults through daily care, advocacy, and emotional support. In the following five years, I worked closely with children and their families during some of the most vulnerable and challenging moments of their lives. These experiences have strengthened my skills in compassion, communication, and ethical, patient-centered care.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen how social, emotional, and environmental factors influence health outcomes just as much as medical treatment. Witnessing families navigate complex systems and resource barriers inspired me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, allowing me to combine my clinical experience with the skills needed to address systemic challenges and advocate effectively for individuals and families.

I plan to continue my education with a Master of Social Work, with the goal of becoming a hospital social worker in a children’s hospital. I am especially passionate about supporting pediatric patients and their families through advocacy, care coordination, and emotional support during critical, life-altering experiences.
